Job Title:
Warehouse Lead Hand
Job Summary
Lead Hand coordinates a team of warehouse operators to ensure timely and accurate picking, packing, receiving, and shipping of products while attending to other aspects of the warehouse operations.

Ø Promote a safe work environment through personal actions. Identify and help solve any safety concerns

Ø Working with CSRs, ensuring customers' orders are released to the floor and allocated to team members.

Ø Prioritizing clients' requests for orders to be picked up promptly.

Ø Attending to the needs of the warehouse team and coordinating team activities.

Ø Schedule and coordinate the work of the warehouse team, assigning duties.

Ø Fill and submit reports, as necessary.

Ø Auditing orders, checking the quality of work assigned to the team.

Ø Working closely with the Warehouse Supervisor on day-to-day reporting/requirements.

Ø Ensuring that all Warehouse KPIs are met on a daily/weekly/monthly cycle.

Ø Coordinate with the shipper to ensure all shipping procedures are followed and are accurate.

Ø Coordinate with the Inventory coordinator in performing inventory cycle counts as requested by customers and solving location issues in the warehouse, ensuring inventory accuracy

Ø Coordinate with the Receiver in completing all the receiver activities promptly.

Ø Act as Shipper &/or Receiver, &/or Inventory coordinator when needed.

Ø Other duties as assigned.

You Know & Have These Things Already

  • Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration is preferred.
  • Computer literacy is mandatory, and you must have experience with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics.
  • At least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Experience in shipping, receiving, and picking procedures.
  • Inventory procedures knowledge.
  • Abilities /Skills/Certifications:
  • Forklift operator certification.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.
  • WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) training.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems and database software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects to 70 lb and stand for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of inventory control and supply chain management.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Additional Requirements:
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
  • Clean driving record and a valid driver's license.
  • Experience in a multi-client warehouse environment is highly desirable.
  • Clean criminal background check.
