We are looking for a
Senior UI/UX Designer (Lead)
who can take ownership of our design system, user experience strategy, and end-to-end product flows. You will play a central role in shaping an industry-changing product used by developers, planners, architects, and investors across North America.
This is a high-impact, high-responsibility role for a designer who can think deeply, execute quickly, and lead design vision across product teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design process: research → wireframes → high-fidelity UI → interaction design.
- Establish and maintain UnlockLand's
design system
, visual language, and user experience standards. - Work closely with product managers and engineers to bring features from concept to release.
- Conduct user interviews, test prototypes, and iterate based on feedback and data.
- Design intuitive, clean workflows for complex industry processes (zoning, site planning, feasibility).
- Communicate design decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentor junior designers and help scale the design function as the company grows.
- Push the boundaries of how AI can enhance usability, automation, and decision-making.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of UI/UX design experience
in SaaS, B2B tools, or data-rich applications. - Strong portfolio demonstrating
complex workflow simplification
and high-quality visual/UI design. - Proficiency in Figma and modern design tools.
- Deep understanding of interaction design, user psychology, and design systems.
- Ability to balance product strategy, UX thinking, and detailed visual craftsmanship.
- Comfortable working with fast-paced engineering teams (React, Mapbox, data visualization).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with mapping, GIS interfaces, or real estate/urban planning tools.
- Experience designing AI-driven user experiences.
- Motion design or microinteraction design skills.
- Ability to produce quick prototypes to validate ideas fast.
