Royal Columbian Hospital is pleased to invite applications for a Cardiologist who has completed at least a one-year dedicated fellowship in adult echocardiography and has a strong foundation in general cardiology.
Royal Columbian Hospital is a tertiary provincial referral hospital and academic centre located in New Westminster, BC. As part of the Fraser Health Authority, with a population of over 2 million people, RCH is the regional hub for cardiac catheterization, structural interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac surgery, and mechanical circulatory support. RCH echocardiography laboratory is a high-volume centre providing inpatient and outpatient services, supporting structural heart and surgical programs and providing 24/7 echocardiography call. Further, the division members are eligible for academic appointment to the University of British Columbia (UBC) Division of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, to a level commensurate with academic position requirements. Finally, the new Jim Pattison Acute Care Tower, slated to open in 2026 as part of a multi-phase RCH Redevelopment Project, is expected to result in a substantial enhancement of diagnostic cardiology services to match the expansion of the inpatient cardiology footprint and electrophysiology and structural interventional programs. This expansion will reinforce our position as a leading cardiac centre in British Columbia.
