Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines
  • Assist with menu planning to meet nutritional and dietary needs
  • Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation standards
  • Serve meals to residents or customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, including dishwashing and equipment sanitization
  • Support catering events and special meal services as needed
  • Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, portioning, and presentation
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality food service experiences
  • Follow all food safety protocols and maintain accurate documentation of food preparation activities

Requirements

  • Prior experience in dietary services, culinary arts, or food industry roles such as dietary aide, server, or cook preferred
  • Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation techniques, and kitchen safety standards
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation and cooking methods
  • Experience in fine dining or restaurant environments is advantageous
  • Familiarity with food handling regulations, sanitation practices, and food safety certifications preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed for meal service schedules
