Job Summary:

The Subprime / Prime Finance Manager is responsible for managing and securing subprime financing approvals for customers with challenged credit. The ideal candidate will have strong relationships with subprime lenders, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and a deep understanding of the non-prime and subprime auto finance market. You will play a crucial role in driving sales and ensuring customer satisfaction by finding tailored financing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the sales team to structure deals for customers with poor or no credit.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a network of subprime lenders.
  • Submit deals for approval and negotiate terms with financial institutions.
  • Analyze credit applications and advise customers on financing options.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and provincial lending laws and dealership policies.
  • Handle all documentation related to the finance process, including credit applications, approvals, and contracts.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism throughout the financing process.
  • Track funding timelines and ensure all contracts are paid in a timely manner.
  • Train and support sales staff on subprime financing processes and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive finance, with a focus on subprime lending.
  • Strong knowledge of auto financing procedures and lender guidelines.
  • Proven ability to secure subprime financing approvals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with finance software and CRM systems.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
