The Patch Brewery is a high-energy, community-focused brewery with two unique kitchens: one featuring a forno pizza oven and another food trailer specializing in burgers and fried favourites. Position Overview
We're looking for an experienced and motivated Kitchen Manager to oversee culinary operations across both kitchens in collaboration with our Head Chef. You'll help lead a team of staff, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, exceptional food quality, and a positive, cohesive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and schedule a kitchen team across both kitchens.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and respectful work culture.
- Support the Chef in training staff and maintaining kitchen standards.
- Conduct regular check-ins, coaching, and performance feedback.
Operations & Organization
- Oversee kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Ensure organized workspaces, proper storage, and efficient prep systems.
- Implement and maintain systems for stock rotation (FIFO) and waste reduction.
Inventory & Ordering
- Manage food and supply ordering for both kitchens.
- Monitor inventory levels and track stock turnover.
- Work with vendors to maintain cost-effective purchasing.
Reporting & Communication
- Provide regular reports on food costs, waste, and kitchen performance.
- Communicate effectively with the Management Team and Owners on progress, challenges, and needs.
- Participate in management meetings to align kitchen operations with company goals.
Quality & Standards
- Ensure all menu items are prepared to company standards for taste, presentation, and consistency.
- Collaborate with the Chef and management on menu changes, specials, and seasonal offerings.
- Uphold food safety and WHMIS requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a kitchen management or head chef role, ideally in a high-volume environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and retain a large, diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Proven experience managing inventory, ordering, and cost control.
- Experience using inventory management software
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Wage: Hourly wage based on experience

Pay: $24.00-$35.00 per hour
