Your role

As a Field Service Technician, your mission is to facilitate growth of Power Technique's Aftermarket through a strong commitment to the delivery of high-quality maintenance, repair and overhaul of portable air compressors, dewatering pumps, and generators at customer locations or Atlas Copco Service Center. This role is hybrid and you will report into a service center manager. 

You will

  • Perform routine, preventive maintenance and repairs on portable air compressors, generators, light towers and dewatering pumps, including diesel engines in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Perform diagnostics on malfunctioning compressors and pumps, determine possible causes, and perform repairs.
  • Test and document proper operating parameters.
  • Provide basic tools for job along with normal maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Provide high level of customer service.
  • Develop rapport with customers through effective communication, interpersonal skills, and professionalism.
  • Train and assist other technical support personnel and service technicians.

  • You have 5 years of technical service experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment.
  • 1-2 years of technical service experience maintaining and repairing compressed air equipment, generators, light towers and dewatering pumps (Atlas Copco and other) or equivalent is preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of a wide variety of portable compressors is strongly preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
  • Experience in diesel engine maintenance and repair – including factory training on Cummins, Kubota, John Deere, Isuzu, Perkins and/or Volvo engines will be a plus.
    • Factory training will be provided for John Deere, Cummins, Perkins, Isuzu, Kubota and Kohler
  • A basic level of understanding and competence with computers and associated systems (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.), business systems, distribution channels and accounting practices.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license.
