Job Overview:

We are looking for dedicated and experienced Servers to join our team at Soluna, a premier fine dining restaurant. The ideal candidates will have a passion for hospitality, a deep understanding of fine dining service, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests enjoy a memorable dining experience through attentive and personalized service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service to guests, anticipating their needs and ensuring a memorable dining experience from start to finish.
  • Accurately take and relay food and beverage orders to the kitchen and bar, ensuring timely and precise delivery.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation, to confidently answer guest questions and make recommendations.
  • Offer knowledgeable recommendations and service for wine and other beverages, enhancing the dining experience.
  • Ensure tables are properly set, clean, and orderly throughout service, promptly addressing any guest needs or concerns.
  • Work closely with other servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service and a cohesive dining experience.
  • Promote daily specials, upsell menu items, and enhance the overall guest experience through thoughtful suggestions.
  • Address and resolve any guest concerns or complaints with professionalism and courtesy, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Knowledge:

  • Extensive knowledge of fine dining service standards and practices.
  • Strong understanding of food and beverage pairings.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food, beverages, and fine dining etiquette.
  • Familiarity with the Clover POS system is a bonus.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Team collaboration and teamwork.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure.

Abilities:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations with grace.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and night shifts as required.
  • A genuine love for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences.
  • Ability to bend, stand, and stoop for long periods of time, and work long hours in hot conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Server in a fine dining restaurant.
  • SmartServe is required.
