We are presently recruiting for an Ophthalmic Surgical
Sales Representative
for the province of Quebec. This position is a full-time, field-based role reporting to the National Sales Director.

Job Description:
The Surgical Sales Representative is responsible in their territory for generating top line revenues while maintaining profit margins for our line of ophthalmic medical devices & equipment. The focus areas are specialty surgeons, hospitals, regional health boards, buying groups and other health professionals. The Surgical Sales representative will regularly observe surgery to gain and maintain knowledge of the current medical art, and of the products being used to better support the products.
The successful candidate must have a strong background in the complex selling environment, excellent interpersonal communication and consultative selling skills.
Responsibilities:
- Meets and exceeds sales targets
- Builds strong customer relationships with all clients, including surgeons, nurses, procurement groups and hospital administrators
- Visits onsite – with majority of field time spent in the OR with Anterior and Posterior Segment Surgeons
- Secures market access for all Labtician products, manufactured and commercialized within the hospital, health authorities, buying groups and private clinics
- Identifies new business opportunities and a clear ROI
- Builds relationships, develops and coordinates RFPs and tenders

Minimum Qualifications:
- B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent combination of experience and education required
- Broad knowledge of the Medical Device & Pharmaceutical Industries
- Minimum of 3-5 years of practical experience in the Sales and/or Marketing activities in the Ophthalmic, Medical Device and or Pharmaceutical and or optometric industries.
Proven successful sales experience and ability to:
identify decision makers and influence decisions,
- manage and prioritize workload, multi-task, manage a diverse mix of issues/challenges,
- manage budgets, expenses and execute plans,
communicate scientific/clinical features and benefits of a product.
Flexibility for travel is required (~ 35%)

Description du poste :
Le représentant des ventes chirurgicales est responsable dans son territoire de la génération de revenus tout en maintenant les marges bénéficiaires pour notre gamme de dispositifs médicaux et d'équipements ophtalmiques. Les secteurs d'activité sont les chirurgiens spécialisés, les hôpitaux, les conseils de santé régionaux, les groupes d'achats et autres professionnels de la santé. Le représentant des ventes chirurgicales observera régulièrement les interventions chirurgicales pour acquérir et maintenir des connaissances sur l'art médical actuel et sur les produits utilisés pour mieux soutenir ces derniers.
Le candidat retenu devra avoir une solide expérience dans un environnement de vente complexe, d'excellentes compétences en communication interpersonnelle et des compétences en vente consultative.
Responsabilités :
• Atteindre et dépasser les objectifs de vente
• Établir de solides relations avec tous les clients, y compris les chirurgiens, les infirmières, les groupes d'approvisionnement et les administrateurs d'hôpitaux
• Visiter les sites – la majorité du temps sur le terrain étant passé dans la salle d'opération avec les chirurgiens de la segment antérieur et postérieur
• Assurer l'accès au marché pour tous les produits Labtician, fabriqués et commercialisés au sein des hôpitaux, des autorités sanitaires, des groupes d'achats et des cliniques privées
• Identifier de nouvelles opportunités d'affaires et un retour sur investissement clair
• Établir des relations, développer et coordonner les appels d'offres et les soumissions
Compétences requises :
• Esprit axé sur la performance, orienté vers les résultats et avec une préférence pour l'action afin de stimuler les ventes et accroître la base de clients
• Solides compétences en création de relations et en vente stratégique, couplées à un esprit entrepreneurial
• Solides compétences analytiques et sens des affaires, avec la capacité d'identifier des insights et de les appliquer à la planification stratégique du territoire et des clients
• Centré sur le client avec la capacité de développer et maintenir des relations
• Capacité à travailler en collaboration avec des parties prenantes internes et externes/KOLs
• Démonstration de pensée stratégique et de gestion du multitâche (organisation et gestion du temps)
• Excellentes compétences de communication verbale, écrite et interpersonnelle
• Autonomie et esprit d'initiative avec un historique éprouvé de performances de vente exceptionnelles
Qualifications minimales :
• Diplôme universitaire (B.A. ou B.S.) ou combinaison équivalente d'expérience et d'éducation requise
• Connaissances générales des industries des dispositifs médicaux et pharmaceutiques
• Bilingue (français et anglais)
• Minimum de 3 à 5 ans d'expérience pratique dans les activités de vente et/ou de marketing dans les industries ophtalmiques, des dispositifs médicaux, pharmaceutiques et/ou optométriques
• Expérience de vente réussie et capacité à :
o Identifier les décideurs et influencer les décisions,
o Gérer et prioriser la charge de travail, faire face à plusieurs tâches simultanément, gérer un éventail diversifié de problèmes/défis,
o Gérer les budgets, les dépenses et exécuter les plans,
o Communiquer les caractéristiques scientifiques/clinique et les avantages d'un produit.
