1. Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
2. Knowledge and experience in the management of acute orthopedic / spine, post surgical and medical patients
3. Recent experience in a Rehabilitation setting is an asset
4. Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, communication, organizational and problem solving skills
5. Demonstrated ability to work as an independent practitioner while collaborting with an interdisciplinary health care team
6. Excellent verbal/written communication skills 

As a member of the health care team, the physiotherapist coordinates, assesses and evaluates patient care and provides physiotherapy care to meet the needs of patients in the Neuroscience and Trauma Program. The physiotherapist collaborates with interdisciplinary team members and community agencies in the provision of care and discharge planning for patients and their families.

Monday to Friday; days 

This position is temporary until December 2026.

The 6 West unit specializes in the acute post surgical care for orthopedics and spine patients. Our surgical teams include surgeons specializing in orthopedic, orthopedic spine and neurosurgical spine interventions.  We are looking for staff who enjoy working in a fast paced, highly skilled environment.  We have a multi-disciplinary team approach towards our patient care. The unit is located at the General site.
