Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and the ability to handle freight with care. Our Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Duties

  • Operate commercial trucks to transport freight over designated routes.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts and other heavy equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and vehicle maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
  • Perform minor automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles as needed.

Experience

  • Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
  • Familiarity with freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment, including forklifts.
  • Knowledge of basic automotive repair is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
