About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Evening Janitor to support the cleaning and maintenance of a professional office tower in downtown Calgary. This role involves scheduled evening work 2 PM – 8 PM, Monday to Friday, with routine janitorial duties and building upkeep during non-peak hours. The building has low occupancy and steady cleaning needs, making this a stable and manageable long-term position.

Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday – 2 PM to 8 PM (6 hrs/day)
  • No weekend work unless special cleaning is required
  • Exact responsibilities and scope will be discussed during interview

Responsibilities

Evening Cleaning

  • Clean elevator lobbies, hallways, entrances, and common areas
  • Clean and sanitize public & ensuite washrooms
  • Empty garbage & recycling and transport to disposal area daily
  • Vacuum/sweep/mop floors as needed
  • Clean office areas, kitchenettes, and glass surfaces

General Building Care

  • Restock washroom supplies
  • Monitor cleanliness and report maintenance issues
  • Perform deeper weekly/monthly tasks per building schedule
  • Annual carpet cleaning support in common areas (once per year)

Qualifications

  • Commercial janitorial experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently with consistency
  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs and perform repetitive cleaning tasks
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Valid SIN required (formal employment)
  • Eligible to work in Canada
