We are currently seeking a dedicated and energetic Support Worker to join our team, providing care and support to two young men in their home.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in helping the individuals live meaningful, independent lives while ensuring their safety and wellbeing. The position involves both day shifts and overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centered support that encourages choice, independence, and dignity.
  • Support the individuals to participate actively in their community and build connections.
  • Follow individualized support plans with consistency and care.
  • Use effective de-escalation strategies when needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with families, supervisors, and team members.
  • Work independently while also being an active, reliable member of the team.

Qualifications

  • Energetic, reliable, and able to respond calmly in challenging situations.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with documentation and following support plans consistently.
  • Comfortable with de-escalation and problem-solving.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable vehicle.
  • Proof of $2 million liability insurance.
  • Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search completed within the last 6 months.
