Palliative RN

Training is provided for the successful applicant so that they feel confident to provide and monitor pain management, alleviate physical symptoms, educate patients and families on symptom management, as well as provide emotional support.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an approved school of nursing

• Current practicing registration with BCCNM Maintains a valid CPR C and First Aid certificate

• Meets the physical requirements for the role

• Acute care or gerontological experience (long term care)

• Able to assess a patient's condition and provide medication and comfort measures as needed

• Comfortable working independently in a home care setting

• Strong critical thinking skills

• Able to drive to client's home as asset
