Snow Plow & Salt Truck Operator – Winter Maintenance

KR Contracting – Mississauga, ON

$25–$38 per hour (based on experience)

KR Contracting is looking for reliable and motivated Snow Plow & Salt Truck Operators to join our winter maintenance team for the 2025–2026 season. We service commercial and residential properties throughout the Peel and Halton regions.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate snow plows, salt trucks, and other winter maintenance equipment safely and efficiently
  • Perform snow shoveling and de-icing as required
  • Conduct site inspections and "snow-watch" monitoring shifts as assigned
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked
  • Perform basic equipment checks and maintenance

Requirements:

  • Valid G-Class driver's license (clean driving record preferred)
  • Experience in winter maintenance (plow, salter, loader, or skid steer) is an asset
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs+ and work outdoors in cold and varying conditions
  • Must be available for variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call snow events
  • Reliable transportation to and from the yard

Compensation:

  • $25–$38 per hour, based on experience and equipment operated
  • Weekly standby pay in addition to hours worked
  • Mid-season and end-of-season performance bonuses
