Insurance Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Insurance Clerk to join our funeral home administrative team. This role requires strict confidentiality, professionalism, and empathy while handling sensitive client information. The ideal candidate will have experience with insurance documentation, cloud-based systems, and office operations, and thrive in a detail-driven, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage insurance documentation, data entry, and record keeping with accuracy and confidentiality
- Assist clients with insurance inquiries, providing empathetic and professional support
- Handle incoming calls with discretion and professional phone etiquette
- Maintain organized digital and physical files; proofread documents for clarity and accuracy
- Support office tasks such as scheduling, correspondence, and billing using QuickBooks or similar systems
- Use cloud-based tools efficiently
Qualifications:
- Proven experience handling insurance and related documentation
- Strong computer literacy and cloud-based system proficiency (Microsoft, SharePoint, QBO, Excel Spreadsheet)
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional, empathetic communication with clients and colleagues
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Bilingual skills are an asset

Pay: $35,000.00-$39,000.00 per year
