Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and reliable Pizza Cook to join our busy kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cooking, particularly in pizza-making, with the ability to prepare a variety of fast-food items, including pizzas, pastas, wings, calzones, and appetizers. This role requires a focus on food quality, safety, and efficiency, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards. The Pizza Cook will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with kitchen staff to deliver delicious meals to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook pizzas, pasta, calzones, garlic bread, wings, and other menu items according to recipes and customer preferences.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality across all dishes.
  • Handle food safely and maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
  • Manage prep work, sauces, and ingredients efficiently to support kitchen operations.
  • Monitor cooking times and temperatures to maintain food quality and safety.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Participate in training sessions to continuously improve cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Flexibility to assist with other menu items or kitchen tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in a pizza-making or restaurant cooking role.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking methods, and safety standards.
  • Proven skills in pizza-making, with the ability to prepare a variety of dishes quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
  • Food Handler's Certificate is an asset.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • A passion for the food industry and commitment to delivering high-quality meals.
