Westbrand is a growing industrial fastener supplier to distributors and OEM's across Western Canada. Alongside our sister company Shurseal Industries Ltd. supplying custom gaskets for a wide variety of industries.

With a history dating back over 40 years these two companies are growing rapidly and need to expand the warehouse team to accommodate the growth.

We are currently looking for a motivated and dynamic Warehouse team member.

Responsibilities:

  • Picking and shipping orders and stock transfers
  • Receiving and verifying incoming stock
  • Other branch duties, such as organizing shelves, cleaning the warehouse, etc.
  • Pick orders accurately and in a time frame established by Distribution Manager
  • Perform other material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking; ensuring accuracy in each stage of the order process
  • Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment
  • Operate forklifts, hand trucks or other materials-handling equipment proficiently and safely (training available)
  • Help assemble orders and wrap skids as required
  • Unpack and store goods in the correct areas ensuring goods are labeled correctly
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • A Positive attitude towards customers and co-workers to support the team and our customers.
  • High school diploma; previous warehouse experience is an asset
  • Strong work ethic, with the ability to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well with other people in a team environment.
  • Focused time management skills with the ability to multitask and manage details.
  • Highly motivated, with the desire to grow and learn new processes and products.
  • Forklift experience is beneficial in this role.
  • Computer knowledge and experience is essential

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Warehouse environment
  • Weekdays (8am to 5pm)
  • Moderate computer use with extensive hours standing
  • Able to consistently lift 40-50 lbs

REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to provide a clean criminal record check
  • Must be a resident of Canada at time of application & be legally able to work in Canada.
