Position Overview
Elite College is seeking a qualified and experienced French Instructor to teach students from beginner (A0) to advanced (B2) level proficiency. This course is part of our French Pathway Program, designed to prepare students for immigration, healthcare, and education programs that require B2 French certification.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in teaching French as a second language, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping adult learners succeed academically and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging French lessons for students from A0 to B2 level.
- Teach speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills according to CEFR standards.
- Prepare lesson plans, assessments, and progress reports.
- Use interactive teaching methods to build confidence and fluency.
- Evaluate students regularly and provide feedback on language progress.
- Integrate real-world situations relevant to healthcare and business contexts.
- Coordinate with the Academic Department to ensure course quality and consistency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in French Language, Linguistics, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of experience teaching French to non-native speakers.
- Knowledge of CEFR framework (A1–B2) and DELF/DALF exam preparation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a motivating and inclusive classroom environment.
- Bilingual ability (English/French) is an asset.
