Wee Ones Dog Rescue Society is a volunteer-run, foster-based rescue operating across Canada's Atlantic Provinces. Founded in 2021, our organization is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of small breed dogs (35 lbs and under) in need. Each dog in our care receives compassionate and individualized support to thrive emotionally, medically, and behaviorally before being placed in a loving forever home. Through community engagement, responsible rescue practices, and a strong network of volunteers and fosters, we advocate for the well-being of small dogs across the region.
Role Description
This is a volunteer role for a Community Outreach Coordinator. In this role, you will play a key part in building meaningful relationships within the community, identifying potential sponsorships, and securing venues for fundraising initiatives and events. Your efforts will help strengthen our presence and impact in the community.
Qualifications
- Strong Interpersonal Skills, Communication, and Cooperation skills
- Experience in Volunteer Management and Community Outreach
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently
- Passion for animal welfare and rescue work
- Previous experience in a non-profit or volunteer organization is a plus
