Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of freight operations and the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a commercial truck to transport freight to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklift equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues that arise during transport.
  • Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
  • Assist in minor automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.

Skills

  • Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts and other heavy equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and logistics operations.
  • Basic automotive repair skills to address minor vehicle issues on the road.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$38.00 per hour
