Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team in Hamilton, Ontario As a Field Quality Specialist, you will ensure that proper procedures are being followed by the inspection team members for productivity, quality control, and safety.

What you're responsible for:

  • Identifying inbound material grades, non-conformities, non-recyclable and hazardous material in inbound loads
  • Effectively and successfully training productivity, quality control and safety measures as established and set for the Inspection Team
  • Facilitating and directing trucks to correct yard locations in an efficient manner
  • Performing Daily Checks (Pile Quality, Truck Inspection, Gate Cleanliness, Overnight Loads)
  • Providing feedback to production about material quality or sale specifications
  • Coordinating quick action for loads that need to be sorted and dealt with in a timely fashion
  • Communicating with supervisors and commercial team about downgrades and deductions
  • Assisting in the implementation of training programs to train external team members on quality and procedures
  • Reviewing outbound sales to ensure quality specifications are met
Qualifications
