Altum Consulting is partnering with an Oscar-winning creative film studio to recruit a
Senior Payroll and Benefits Analyst
. Based in Montreal, this role offers the opportunity to join a high-performing, people-first organization known for its collaborative culture and fun, creative environment.

Main responsibilities of the role:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 750 employees, with a mixture of salaried and hourly staff across BC, Montreal and Quebec.
  • Work closely with the HR team to analyze and update employee benefits and ensure accurate deduction configurations within the payroll system.
  • Keep payroll processes and documentation current and compliant as you'll play a key role in maintaining accuracy and staying ahead of regulatory changes.
  • Take ownership of monthly benefits reconciliations, including insurance premiums and pension contributions - ensuring accuracy and consistency across payroll records.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have considerable experience within payroll, ideally with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
  • Be bilingual in English and French, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Bring a positive can-do attitude - being willing to learn and grow into the role is highly sought after.
