As our next Electrical PLC / Control Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of developing, implementing, and improving control systems within our manufacturing operations. Your expertise in PLC programming, automation systems, and electrical integration will be essential for supporting machine startups, process launches, and driving continuous improvement.

• Design, develop, and implement control systems for new machines
• Program PLCs, HMIs, servo systems, and automation robotics
• Integrate electrical systems and troubleshoot issues (575 volts, wiring, fuses, etc.)
• Design control panels, wiring diagrams, and create BOMs
• Coordinate and supervise machine startups and process launches
• Provide training to maintenance personnel on automation system use and functionality
• Mentor licensed electricians in PLC programming and troubleshooting
• Support and implement continuous improvement initiatives in automation
• Ensure adherence to Quality Management System standards including IATF 16949 and ISO 14001
• Follow and enforce all safety and environmental policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
. Ontario Trade Certification of Industrial Electrician 422A/309A is required.
• University degree in Electrical Engineering or College Diploma in a related field
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in controls and data acquisition within an automotive manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to lead and participate in multidisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of Wonderware software is a plus
• Experience with AutoCAD and strong computer proficiency (MS Office)
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
• Strong leadership skills with a sense of urgency and results orientation
• Understanding of manufacturing safety environments including confined spaces and working at heights
