Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Supervisor to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will support the Centre Supervisor in ensuring the delivery of high-quality early learning and care in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment. This role involves assisting with program planning, overseeing staff and daily operations, and maintaining compliance with all licensing and health regulations. Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Supervisor in daily childcare centre operations
  • Assist in developing and implementing age-appropriate programs
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to educators and support staff
  • Ensure all health, safety, and licensing standards are upheld
  • Maintain documentation, reports, and communication with families
  • Help create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
  • Step into the Supervisor role when needed
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues

Qualifications

  • ECE Diploma or Certificate (must be registered and in good standing, if applicable)
  • Current CPR & First Aid Certification
  • Food Handler's Certification (valid and up-to-date)
  • Up-to-date Immunizations as required by local regulations
  • Experience working in a childcare or early learning setting
  • Familiarity with childcare licensing standards and regulatory requirements
  • Supervisory or leadership experience (an asset)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37 – 40 per week
