Duties
- Assist with repairing and restoring damaged vehicles by performing tasks such as sanding, filling, and prepping surfaces for painting.
- Support the removal and reinstallation of auto glass, trim, and other vehicle components with precision and care.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (including MIG welding and soldering), and airless paint sprayers to execute repairs efficiently.
- Participate in sheet metal work, fabrication, and auto body repairs to restore vehicles to their original condition.
- Learn and apply auto painting techniques, including auto painting and auto restoration processes.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify necessary repairs and document work performed for accurate auto estimating.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Support vehicle maintenance tasks such as mechanical repairs, auto body detailing, and assembly work to ensure quality standards are met.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair progress clearly and professionally.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all repair activities to maintain a secure working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous dealership or auto body shop experience is highly preferred but not mandatory; eagerness to learn is essential
- Basic mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Familiarity with MIG welding, soldering, sheet metal work, auto painting, airless paint spraying, and auto glass installation is a plus.
- Strong understanding of automotive repair processes including auto restoration, assembly, detailing, and vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a physically demanding environment.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interactions.
- Motivated self-starter with a desire to grow technical skills in collision repair.
