Senior Accountant
to join their growing team in the

This role is ideal for a
CPA or CPA candidate
looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive, collaborative environment that values professional development, client service excellence, and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review
    year-end working paper files, compilations (Notice to Reader), reviews, and audit engagements in accordance with ASPE.
  • Prepare corporate, personal, and trust income tax returns
    (T2, T1, T3) and related filings.
  • Perform financial statement analysis
    and provide insight to managers and partners for client advisory opportunities.
  • Assist clients
    with bookkeeping, payroll, HST, and other compliance matters as needed.
  • Communicate directly with clients
    to gather information, resolve queries, and build long-term professional relationships.
  • Support managers and partners
    in engagement planning, execution, and file review.
  • Mentor junior staff
    and contribute to the team's technical and professional growth.

Qualifications

  • CPA designation
    or currently
    enrolled in the CPA program
    (near completion preferred).
  • 3+ years
    of experience in a
    public accounting firm
    .
  • Solid understanding of
    ASPE
    , audit, assurance, and/or Canadian income corporate tax compliance for owner-managed businesses.
  • Strong proficiency in
    CaseWare, TaxPrep (or similar tax software), and Microsoft Office Suite
    .
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Client-focused approach with a commitment to quality and professionalism.
