TRAIL GROOMER TECHNICIAN POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Trail Groomer Technician is responsible for all

aspects of trail maintenance including equipment maintenance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working alongside other trail staff to groom trails through the snowmobiling season
  • Utilize HF trail grooming equipment to maintain the trail system to a high quality
  • Clear trails of brush and tree debris when required
  • Perform circle checks on trail grooming equipment and tagout any defective equipment

for fixing

  • Repair machinery within the scope of knowledge
  • Maintain equipment as per manufacturer recommendations
  • Interact with clients whenever required with a focus on high customer service in a

friendly and courteous manner

  • Position may require some early morning starts and night work
  • Be willing to train and work alongside less experienced staff
  • Performs all tasks in accordance with established health and safety procedures and safe

work practices and standards, including operating procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of trail grooming equipment and machinery
  • Knowledge of ATVs and snowmobiles
  • First aid and CPR is an asset
  • Positive attitude
  • Strong work ethic
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required
