Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services that meet their needs
  • Conduct engaging product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer interest
  • Provide expert advice on merchandise, including upselling complementary items to maximize sales opportunities
  • Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
  • Manage stock levels through merchandising, stocking shelves, and organizing displays to create an inviting shopping environment
  • Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
  • Assist in inventory management by conducting stock checks and participating in regular stock replenishment activities
  • Support the store's visual presentation by implementing merchandising plans aligned with company standards
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
  • Supervise or assist in training new team members when needed, fostering a collaborative team environment

Qualifications

  • Previous retail sales experience is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus but not required
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are highly valued
  • Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math for accurate transactions
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle inquiries professionally
  • Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays efficiently
  • Experience conducting product demos and upselling techniques to increase sales volume
  • Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with retail environments is advantageous
  • Basic math skills for cash register operations and retail calculations
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
