Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in construction project management, team coordination, and client communication, with a strong background in fence, deck, and landscape installation. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising outdoor construction and smart-yard projects, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and oversee fence, deck, and landscaping projects from design to completion.
  • Coordinate with clients, designers, suppliers, and field crews to ensure project requirements are clearly defined and met.
  • Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and contracts to prepare work plans and timelines.
  • Supervise on-site activities and monitor work progress to maintain productivity, safety, and quality.
  • Manage materials procurement, cost estimates, and budgets for multiple ongoing projects.
  • Conduct site inspections and address any issues related to structural quality, measurements, or customer changes.
  • Collaborate with the IT and Smart Systems teams to integrate IoT components such as cameras, sensors, and lighting systems into outdoor installations.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including work logs, progress reports, and client communications.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance evaluations for field supervisors and installation teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and municipal building regulations.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction project coordination or management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of fencing, decking, landscaping, and outdoor construction practices.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling, budgeting, and documentation software (e.g., MS Project, Google Workspace, or similar tools).
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and client service abilities.
  • Knowledge of IoT or smart-system integration is considered an asset.
  • Fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese (both written and spoken) is required to support multicultural clients and staff.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites across Saskatchewan.
