Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Grants Assistant to provide administrative support to our Grants team. In this role, you will help ensure that our grant materials are polished, organized, and submitted on time. This is a remote position that is perfect for someone looking to gain foundational experience in nonprofit operations and grant management while making a tangible impact in support of Muslim writers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Grants team
  • Read through the grants MLF is researching and/or applying for
  • Format, proofread, and prepare documents for submission
  • Maintain organized digital files for proposals, budgets, and reports
  • Support follow-up tasks, such as scheduling calls or preparing thank-you notes to funders

Requirements

  • Detail-oriented and dependable
  • Comfortable with document formatting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Passion for MLF's mission and commitment to supporting Muslim writers
  • Reliable access to internet and ability to work independently & in collaboration with a team
  • Bonus: Interest in nonprofit fundraising or grant writing (a plus, but not required)
