Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Bookkeeper
with a minimum of 5 years and holds a degree in accounting to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing full-cycle bookkeeping, and ensuring the integrity of inter-company transactions across multiple entities. Proficiency with
Sage Accounting
is a requirement for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger maintenance.
  • Record, monitor, and reconcile
    inter-company transactions
    , ensuring accuracy and compliance across all related entities.
  • Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end adjustments.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
  • Maintain proper documentation of all financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
  • Monitor cash flow and provide timely reporting to management.
  • Liaise with external auditors and accountants to support year-end reviews and tax filings.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality and integrity of financial information.
  • Government regulatory filing requirements, bi-monthly, monthly and quarterly.
  • Any other accounting related jobs requested by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Degree in Business & Admin with a major in accounting
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in
    Sage Accounting
    software.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with
    inter-company accounting and reconciliations
    .
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and best practices.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Assets

  • Diploma or certification in Accounting or Bookkeeping.
  • Experience working within a multi-entity corporate structure.
  • Prior experience supporting audits and year-end financial reporting.
