Job Title: Senior Full Stack Engineer

Location: Kamloops, BC (on-site only)

Pay: From CA$90,000 per year

Type: Full-time

We are hiring a senior full stack engineer with at least 5 years of real Linux development and system administration experience. You should be equally comfortable writing backend code, troubleshooting a live server, and tuning a Linux box for performance. This is an in-office, hands-on role.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain production apps using React, TypeScript, and Python (Django, Flask, FastAPI)

  • Design, deploy, and maintain backend services on Debian Linux, GCP, and AWS

  • Manage servers, firewalls, and cron jobs; handle OS updates, monitoring, and log analysis

  • Write automation scripts for provisioning, backups, and deployments

  • Implement CI/CD and containerized workflows (Docker)

  • Debug network issues, SSL certs, permissions, and service failures

  • Review code and mentor junior developers

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of full stack development experience

  • Deep Linux knowledge (Debian/Ubuntu preferred)

  • Strong Python and at least one major web framework

  • Solid JavaScript/React/HTML/CSS

  • Proficient in SQL (PostgreSQL or similar)

  • Experience with Git, shell scripting (bash/zsh), and system daemons (systemd, journald)

  • Comfort with troubleshooting SSH, DNS, and Nginx/Apache configs

Bonus:

  • Experience with Redis, WebSockets, and high-performance systems

  • Familiar with load balancing, reverse proxies, and HA setups

  • React Native or Flutter experience

  • Game dev or real-time system background
