Toronto, Ontario, Canada KEV Group Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

Who We Are:

At KEV, we help school districts eliminate the school finance blind spot. Our platform gives district finance teams real-time visibility and traceability into every dollar collected at the school level; whether it's cash, check, or digital. From field trips to fundraisers, we help them manage every dollar with confidence. More than 26,000 schools across North America trust KEV to manage over $4 billion annually. By unifying payments, accounting, and reporting, KEV simplifies life for bookkeepers, builds trust with parents, and gives finance leaders the oversight their current systems cannot. It's how we help schools stay compliant, reduce risk, and focus on what matters most, student success.

Backed by Five Arrows, the PE arm of Rothschild & Co., KEV is investing more than ever to support K–12 in a world of tighter budgets, rising scrutiny, and fast-changing tech. We're headquartered in Toronto, with offices across North America.

If you're excited by the idea of building tech that protects schools, empowers finance teams, and improves education through better systems, KEV is the place for you.

About the Role

The Payments team is integral to KEV's success, driving growth through collaboration and expertise. We partner to develop and execute strategies that drive revenue through the SchoolCash Online platform and foster a culture of creativity.

The Vice President, Usage is a critical leadership role reporting to the Chief Payments Officer. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive increased online spend across the SchoolCash Online platform. The VP will focus on creating, testing, and industrializing strategies and tactics that engage School District CFOs, Bookkeepers, Teachers, and Parents to grow adoption and ensure that more school-related items such as field trips, fundraisers, and classroom fees are created and purchased online.

The VP will coordinate their team to design and implement scalable programs that increase usage and engagement, working cross-functionally with Account Management, Marketing, and Product teams to drive measurable business results. Success will be measured by the growth in online vs. in-person spend and improvements in Net Promoter Score (NPS) among key stakeholders

How You'll Contribute
  • Develop and execute strategies that increase SchoolCash Online adoption and online transaction share at targeted school districts.
  • Grow platform usage by encouraging schools and teachers to create more online items (e.g., field trips, fundraisers, classroom fees, and school merchandise).
  • Partner with School District leaders (CFOs, Bookkeepers, and Principals) to promote awareness of the platform's efficiency and transparency benefits.
  • Collaborate with the Account Management team, ensuring the 10 Client Service Managers allocate ~50% of their time to deploying engagement tactics and district-level growth initiatives.
  • Work closely with the SVP of Marketing and their team to create campaigns, materials, and communications that increase parent sign-ups, item creation, and online purchases.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team including a Manager of Usage and a Data Analyst, ensuring alignment with company goals and performance metrics.
  • Analyze usage and spend data to identify trends, prioritize opportunities, and measure campaign effectiveness.
  • Champion customer experience improvements by monitoring NPS results and developing strategies to increase satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Partner with Product and Technology teams to provide feedback and insights on platform features that enhance ease of use and engagement.

Success Metrics

  • Increased percentage of spend online vs. offline across targeted districts
  • Growth in SchoolCash Online user adoption (parents, teachers, and schools)
  • Improved Net Promoter Score (NPS) among key stakeholder groups
  • Sustained usage growth trends over time and improved retention metrics
Who You Are
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in customer success, usage growth, marketing, or digital adoption roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Strategic and data-driven leader with a track record of influencing customer adoption and engagement in SaaS or digital product environments.
  • Experience designing and implementing growth or engagement programs across multiple customer segments.
  • Strong ability to lead through influence in a matrixed environment, working cross-functionally with Marketing, Account Management, and Product.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement, including experience working with external clients (ideally in education, public sector, or nonprofit contexts).
  • Excellent analytical and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Proven experience managing and developing teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred.
