We are seeking an enthusiastic and organized Recreation Aide who is committed to delivering exceptional resident experiences and contributing to a positive team environment.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and support resident activities based on their needs, abilities, and interests, adjusting programs as needed with guidance from the supervisor.
  • Work closely with the recreation team, sharing updates on resident participation and engagement.
  • Facilitate, encourage and support residents to join a variety of meaningful and enjoyable programs.
  • Deliver activity sessions such as arts and crafts, music, sports, cooking, gardening, and exercise; sets up materials, provides demonstrations, and documents resident participation.
  • Support outings by ensuring residents have appropriate clothing and equipment, coordinating movement, and assisting with activity instruction.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records for all programs.
  • Guide and support volunteers during activities, ensuring they understand program expectations and techniques.
What you Bring
  • Food Safe Certificate is required.
  • Completion of a recognized Recreation or Rehabilitation Certificate is preferred.
  • Two years of recent experience supporting seniors in a housing or care environment—especially delivering programs within a social model—is considered a strong asset.
  • First Aid and current CPR certification are required.
  • Valid Class 4 driver's license and a clean driver's abstract.
  • A clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
  • A negative TB test and up-to-date immunization record.
