Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter/Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess experience and a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. This role is essential in ensuring high-quality assembly and manufacturing of metal components, contributing to our commitment to excellence in construction and ductwork projects.
Duties
- Perform MIG and SMAW welding on various materials, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as plasma cutters, shear, press brake machines, and forklifts for fabrication tasks.
- Conduct rigging operations safely while moving heavy materials and components.
- Assemble metal structures and components according to design specifications.
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality, making adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding and fitting within a manufacturing or construction environment is a must.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various machinery safely.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools for precise fabrication.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to projects.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Certification in welding is a plus but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
