Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting with meal preparation, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. This position is perfect for individuals passionate about the food industry and looking to grow their culinary skills in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and chop ingredients for various dishes according to recipes and specifications.
  • Assist in cooking and assembling meals under the guidance of the head chef or kitchen manager.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including utensils, equipment, and work surfaces.
  • Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled properly and stored at appropriate temperatures.
  • Support the kitchen team during service by providing timely assistance with meal preparation and plating.
  • Participate in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
  • Experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
