Onsite Residential Building Manager

Are you a dedicated and reliable professional looking to take on a rewarding role in property management? We are seeking a Residential Building Manager for a new high-end residential development in the Dartmouth area. This is a full-time, permanent onsite position that includes a private residential unit with utilities as part of the compensation package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential building
  • Ensure the property is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality
  • Coordinate and supervise maintenance and repair work
  • Respond promptly to resident inquiries, concerns, and service requests
  • Monitor building systems and report any issues to property management
  • Assist with move-ins, move-outs, and unit inspections
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and resident interactions
  • Enforce building rules and regulations to ensure a safe and respectful living environment

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in residential or property management preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Basic knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures
  • Professional, courteous, and service-oriented demeanor
  • Must be able to live onsite in the provided residential unit

Experience:

  • 5 to 8 years previous building superintendent experience preferred
  • Previous repair and maintenance experience in a multi-unit residential building
  • Previous experience monitoring building systems such as electrical/HVAC, mechanical, fire prevention/detection, and security
  • Must pass criminal background check

Skills & Abilities:

  • A self-starter who exhibits a high level of professionalism and competence.
  • Detail-oriented and able to prioritize work effectively.
  • A good listener with the ability to respond quickly and diplomatically to resident inquiries and issues.
  • Physically able to perform cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Possess the required skills and experience to perform minor maintenance and repair tasks, including painting; always adhere to relevant safety standards.
  • Knowledge of current relevant building codes is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills including email.
