Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to produce high-quality metal components. This role requires mechanical aptitude, precision, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. The Press Brake Operator plays a vital part in ensuring manufacturing efficiency and product quality in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form metal sheets according to blueprints and specifications
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine dimensions and bending angles
  • Adjust machine settings for precise bending operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of press brake equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Conduct quality inspections using calipers, measuring tools, and visual checks to verify accuracy of finished parts
  • Collaborate with team members on assembly processes and coordinate with other machining operations such as CNC laser cutting, CNC milling, CNC lathe, plasma cutting, welding, and CNC programming as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and proper handling of hand tools and mechanical equipment
  • Assist in troubleshooting machine issues promptly to minimize downtime

Skills

  • Proficiency in operating press brake machines with a solid understanding of mechanical principles
  • Experience with CNC laser cutting, CNC programming, plasma cutting, CNC lathe, CNC milling machine is a plus
  • Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings for precise fabrication
  • Mechanical knowledge related to machining processes, hand tools, calipers, and quality inspection techniques
  • Familiarity with crane operation, forklift handling is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Strong math skills including basic calculations for measurements and angles
  • Knowledge of welding, assembly processes, and general manufacturing practices is desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control and safety standards
