Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Foreman to supervise onsite building envelope and construction projects. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience, the ability to lead crews, and the skill to ensure daily operations run smoothly and safely.

This role focuses on exterior work, envelope assemblies, repairs, and general construction tasks.

Responsibilities

Site Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead and supervise onsite crews performing building envelope and construction tasks
  • Coordinate daily workflow, assign tasks, and ensure productivity and quality
  • Work closely with Project Managers to execute project plans and schedules
  • Communicate professionally with strata councils, homeowners, consultants, and subcontractors

Project Execution

  • Perform hands-on work as needed (carpentry, framing, demolition, general construction tasks)
  • Oversee installation of:
  • Waterproofing and membranes
  • Flashings and drip edges
  • Cladding systems
  • Sealants and caulking
  • Insulation and weather barrier systems
  • Conduct daily site inspections and identify deficiencies
  • Maintain jobsite cleanliness and organization

Quality Control & Documentation

  • Document job progress with photos, notes, and checklists
  • Ensure all work meets code, manufacturer guidelines, and building envelope performance standards
  • Support Project Managers with time logs, material reports, and deficiency documentation

Scheduling & Logistics

  • Coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractors
  • Verify quantities and ensure quality of materials delivered
  • Assist with scheduling inspections and consultant visits

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce WorkSafeBC rules and maintain a safe jobsite at all times
  • Ensure crew uses proper PPE and follows site safety protocols
  • Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in construction or building envelope roles
  • Hands-on knowledge of envelope assemblies (membranes, cladding, waterproofing, flashing, insulation)
  • Ability to read scopes, drawings, and envelope details
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Must have valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-trade environments

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
