About the role
You'll lead and grow an OEM-supported automotive apprenticeship program in partnership with provincial governments and community colleges. You'll supervise a small team and coordinate training center capacity, course deployment, instructor support, and day-to-day operations. The role blends program promotion/outreach, training operations, and light IT/facilities support for remote training centers.
What you'll do

- Advocate for the program at a national level; represent the program at job fairs and industry events.
- Plan and schedule factory-trained technician curriculum; manage training center capacity and level scheduling.
- Coordinate technical training development and deployment; interface cross-functionally with internal teams.
- Provide remote training center/instructor IT & facilities support (basic setup/troubleshooting).
- Manage rosters, enrollments, attendance, grading, and timely billing in the LMS/center systems.
- Track Minimum Training Standards (MTS) compliance; follow up with locations at risk.
- Maintain reporting (attendance, compliance) and support operational R&D for tools/process improvements.
- Travel as required (Ontario/Michigan; occasional out-of-province). No scheduled contractor shutdown days.
What you'll bring
Must-haves
- 5+ years automotive industry experience (dealer/OEM environment preferred).
- Strong program coordination or training operations experience; able to work independently with minimal direction.
- Comfortable promoting programs at job fairs; outgoing communication style with excellent stakeholder skills.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency; data accuracy and reporting discipline.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel; able to obtain a passport for U.S. travel.
Nice to have
- Journeyperson/Red Seal automotive technician certification.
- Prior apprenticeship or dealership technician background (ASEP or similar).
- Working knowledge of automotive systems and service/warranty processes.
