Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Yard Personnel to join our team. This role is indoors/outdoors and involves shop/mill tasks, operating all-terrain forklifts, shipping and receiving. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse environments, the ability to operate various types of forklifts and construction-related tasks.. Mechanical knowledge would be an asset.

Duties

• Load and unload materials using forklifts
• Operate cranes and other machinery safely to move large or heavy items within the yard
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds
• Assist with order picking, loading trucks, and inventory
• Support by preparing orders for dispatch or receipt
• Maintain a clean and organized yard environment to ensure safety and efficiency
• Follow safety protocols related to forklift operation and warehouse procedures

Experience

• Prior experience in warehouse/yard distribution
• Experience with order picker, load & unload activities, shipping & receiving processes, and construction support is advantageous
• Familiarity with warehouse experience including heavy lifting, order picking, and material handling is beneficial
• Prior work involving forklift operation is mandatory
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment with attention to safety standards

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
