Peel Regional Police (PRP) Uniform Recruiting invites applications for the second cohort of the R.I.S.E. (Resilient, Inspiring, Strong, Empowered) Mentorship Program. This program is designed to pair prospective women applicants, who are curious about a career as a police officer but are not quite ready to apply, with a currently serving woman police officer (the "Mentor"). As a Mentee, you will benefit from guidance and support as you navigate your journey into policing.

The program begins with a 1 ½ day immersive workshop, where you will be paired with your Mentor. You will receive mentorship over a 16-week period, with weekly check-ins and three fitness testing dates, interview preparation evening to provide valuable insights, advice, and encouragement.

The goal of the R.I.S.E. Mentorship Program is to help prepare you for the 2026 Recruit Constable/Cadet application process. In alignment with the 30x30 Pledge, which strives to increase female representation in policing. The program offers hands-on training, leadership development, career preparation, and the opportunity to network with experienced police Mentors.

This is a free program with no financial compensation, focused on providing you with the skills, confidence, and support needed for success in the policing profession.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident and legally entitled to work in Canada
• At least eighteen (18) years of age
• Successfully completed at least four years of secondary school education or its equivalent.
• Ability to check in with your mentor weekly throughout the duration of the mentorship
• Must be available to attend in person on the following dates:
• January 23rd 2026, 5-8pm / January 24th 2026 8am-3pm
• February 19th pm
• March 19th pm
• April 18th pm
• April 30th 5-7pm
• May 14th pm

Who Can Apply
:

This opportunity is open to women aged 18 years and over, who are considering a career in policing but may not yet be ready to apply or are seeking additional development and guidance.

3. What are your professional and personal goals for the next 6–8 months?

These are not pass/fail, but simply to asses your current fitness level, plus an in person Local Focus Interview
