We are a small, family-run business with a passion for great food and community. As we gear up for our busy food truck season, we're looking for skilled, reliable, and motivated Prep & Line Cooks to join our kitchen team. Job Summary:

As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong knife skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and food safety. This position may require travel to various event or service locations as part of our mobile food operations (May - October)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and presentation standards.
  • Execute precise knife work for prepping vegetables, proteins, and garnishes.
  • Ensure all food is fresh, properly stored, and prepared in a sanitary and timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, equipment, and utensils.
  • Assist with prep work, portioning, and plating as needed.
  • Adhere to food safety guidelines and health regulations at all times.
  • Communicate with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
  • Monitor food quality and consistency; adjust processes as needed.
  • Support other team members and contribute to a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous cooking experience in a commercial kitchen (1–2 years preferred).
  • Strong knife skills and familiarity with proper cutting techniques and kitchen safety.
  • Understanding of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to lift heavy items, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced setting.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
  • Flexible and willing to travel to different locations as needed.
  • Food Handler's Certification
