Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and facilities to ensure smooth operations. This role requires a strong background in electrical, mechanical, and facilities maintenance, along with leadership qualities to supervise maintenance activities and support team members. The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability of plant operations.

Duties

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motors, pumps, and mechanical components.
  • Operate and maintain CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work orders, inventory, and maintenance history.
  • Conduct welding repairs and fabrication as needed to support equipment or facility upgrades.
  • Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to diagnose issues accurately.
  • Lead or supervise maintenance team members during shift operations, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to all safety standards and procedures.
  • Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as HVAC systems, plumbing, or structural repairs.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal department needs promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in manufacturing or facilities maintenance with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
  • Supervising experience is preferred, demonstrating leadership skills in team management.
  • Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics reading.
  • Experience with CMMS software for work order management.
  • Skilled in welding techniques and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of facilities maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, and structural repairs.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures related to industrial environments.
  • Excellent communication skills in English for effective teamwork and documentation purposes.
  • Ability to lead maintenance projects and coordinate with other departments effectively.
