We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our finance team. The Financial Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting the company's financial operations through accurate reporting, budgeting, and analysis, while ensuring compliance with GAAP and driving process improvements.

The successful candidate will have duties such as but not limited to:

Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balancesCompleting the monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses for multiple companiesMaintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules.Posting journal entries (with the approval of the Controller or Director of Finance)Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expendituresAssisting with preparing and monitoring budgetsInvestigating and resolving account discrepancies and issues of non-complianceCreating a Standard Operating Procedure Manual for accounting policies, regulations, and reconciliation proceduresCreating and analyzing liability, asset, and capital accounts by compiling electronic data and required documentation.Develop financial models to support strategic decision-making and identify areas for improvement.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to senior management to drive business performance.Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations to optimize financial performance.Assist in the development and implementation of financial systems and processes to streamline operations.Support ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as needed.Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have:

3+ years of accounting experience supporting multiple departments.2+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis (preferably in construction or manufacturing).Working knowledge of: GAAP, Tax laws, Budgetary processes, ERP implementation.Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel).Knowledge of BisTrack (ERP) and Great Plains (GP) systems (strong asset).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong time management and prioritization skills.Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present findings to senior management.Detail-oriented with high accuracy, supported by high-level critical and logical thinking, analysis, and reasoning.Ability to work independently, with a proactive mindset for process improvement and business growth.Ability to provide excellent internal customer service and follow up on requests.
