Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with dentists and other team members to deliver exceptional service to our patients.

Duties Dental Assistant Job Duties:

  • Prepare and Sterilize Instruments: Clean, sterilize, and prepare dental instruments and equipment before procedures.
  • Assist the Dentist During Procedures: Help the dentist by passing instruments, holding retractors, and ensuring the patient's comfort during procedures.
  • Patient Care and Comfort: Greet patients, prepare them for treatment, and ensure their comfort throughout their visit.
  • Take X-rays: Perform routine dental radiography (X-rays) under the supervision of the dentist.
  • Record Patient Information: Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history, treatments, and progress notes.
  • Assist with Diagnostic Procedures: Prepare and assist with diagnostic procedures, such as fillings, crowns, and extractions.
  • Provide Post-Treatment Instructions: Educate patients on proper aftercare instructions and oral hygiene practices.
  • Manage Inventory and Order Supplies: Keep track of dental office supplies, reorder as needed, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Schedule Appointments: Help schedule patient appointments and confirm upcoming visits.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred
  • Proficiency in using dental software systems like Dentrix or similar platforms.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
