We're seeking a highly passionate, hands-on, results-driven Director of Operations who thrives in a dynamic environment to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and with measurable business impact. You will build scalable delivery processes, strengthen operational discipline and enable global growth and execution excellence.
This is a high-visibility, cross-functional leadership role, with potential to evolve into a strategic executive position as the company expands.
Location: Toronto, Canada – collaborating with teams in Switzerland and the USA.
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Scope of Responsibilities- Lead global project delivery operations across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring success against scope, budget and schedule.
- Oversee multi-disciplinary teams across Canada, Switzerland and the USA creating alignment between engineering, product and operations.
- Develop and maintain contracts, SOWs, budgets, vendor agreements, and RFP responses aligned to project and commercial objectives.
- Implement scalable delivery frameworks, KPIs, and dashboards for visibility into performance, risk, and profitability.
- Partner with the CEO and technical leads to drive project prioritization, capacity planning, and continuous improvement across operations.
- Foster an outcome-focused, high-performance culture where teams take ownership and deliver results.
- Consistently deliver complex AI and infrastructure projects on time and on budget.
- Create visibility into project health, resource utilization, and risk management through robust reporting and analytics.
- Improve operational efficiency and delivery predictability, optimizing productivity across all project teams.
- Build standardized, repeatable delivery models that support company scalability and client satisfaction.
- Identify risks early and resolve blockers to maintain momentum, client confidence, and profitability.
- Contribute directly to revenue growth and margin performance through effective operational leadership.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in technical project management, AI delivery, or operations leadership, ideally in AI, machine learning, computer vision, or advanced technology environments.
- Proven success leading complex global projects involving software, hardware, and cross-functional technical teams.
- Experience managing distributed teams across multiple countries or time zones.
- Strong knowledge of logistics, supply chain management, and vendor operations.
- Familiarity with networking, systems engineering, and collaboration with hardware/software OEMs.
- Skilled in SOW and RFP development, project budgeting, and delivery documentation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics preferred).
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, scaling startup — proactive, adaptable, and highly organized.
- Tools: Asana, Jira, or equivalent project management tools; Excel/Sheets for reporting and analytics.
- Bilingual (French & English) is considered a strong asset.
