PrecisionERP / PrecisionIT is currently seeking a Business Analyst to work on a Data Migration project for one our major clients in Ottawa, the work can be done on a hybrid schedule as well.

A valid Canadian Federal clearance is required
, minimum Reliability Status

Location:
Hybrid, onsite - 4 days per month in Ottawa, ON. Which could be somewhat flexible depending on approval from management.

Duration:
As soon as possible to December 2026 (Over 1 year) with potential for extension

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Hands-on experience with
    SQL
    and
    Azure DevOps
  • Strong understanding of
    business processes
    and
    data analysis
  • Experience and
    familiarity with Databricks
    would be an asset

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Eliciting and documenting business/functional requirements
  • Analyzing and mapping current vs. future state processes
  • Conducting detailed data analysis, profiling, and mapping
  • Identifying and mitigating data migration risks
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Supporting testing activities and ensuring requirements traceability
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in data migration projects
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience using Azure DevOps
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Databricks and data governance concepts
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role, ideally on data-centric projects
