Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Tire Retail and Repair Shop Manager
to oversee our expanding high-volume Big O Tires Victoria store. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in the tire and wheel industry, coupled with a minimum of 2 years in a management role. This position requires strong leadership abilities, excellent team collaboration, legendary sales technique and a proactive attitude to drive results in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Day-to-Day Operations:
    Oversee the tire and wheel department's daily activities, ensuring smooth operations and high service standards.
  • Leadership & Team Development:
    Lead, train, and motivate a team of tire and wheel alignment technicians and sales associates. Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Inventory & Stock Management:
    Maintain optimal stock levels of tires, wheels, and related accessories, ensuring that the store always has the right products available.
  • Sales Performance:
    Drive sales by promoting tire and wheel products, ensuring sales goals are met, and providing excellent customer service.
  • Customer Relations:
    Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure that customers receive the best possible service and product recommendations.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    Ensure all safety protocols and company policies are adhered to within the tire department. Oversee proper tire installation, balancing, and safety checks.
  • Budget & Financial Management:
    Assist with budgeting, expense management, and ensure the department operates within financial guidelines.
  • Problem Solving & Initiative:
    Proactively identify operational inefficiencies and take the initiative to implement improvements.

Requirements:

  • Experience:
    Minimum 2 years of experience in the tire and wheel industry with hands-on knowledge of tire sizing, installation, balancing, and related services.
  • Management:
    Minimum of 2 years of experience in a managerial role, preferably in a high-volume retail or automotive environment.
  • Leadership:
    Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate a diverse team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Work Ethic:
    Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Customer Focused:
    Strong customer service orientation with a focus on providing the best customer experience.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    In-depth knowledge of tire sizes, specifications, brands, and the latest industry trends.
  • Physical Requirements:
    Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting tires and wheels and standing for extended periods.
  • Problem Solving:
    Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Automotive or tire certifications an assest(e.g., ASE, TIA).
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management tools.
